First of all, lets try to define the word Food.
According to me ” Food is just an another form of input we consume for our living. “
Certainly, the point I am trying to make here is – We should only use Food to just kill the feeling of hunger.
We can see in the above definition I stated another form of Input because humans can also live with Inputs like Oxygen, Water, Sunshine.
Hope you know, Mahatma Gandhi lived without food for 21 days ie; complete starvation.
Back in 2013, A 65 year old lady lived with only water for 47 days, to know more check this.
In contrast research says that –
Humans can live without Water for more than 100 Hours in normal temperature and little less in bit higher temperature, checkout here.
As a result, it is quite evident that we need food but this doesn’t mean that we have to become foodies.
Knowing or unknowingly we become foodies because of highly marketed foods items & stupid YouTube videos.
Important reasons coming up…
Reason No. 1
Humans waste 30% of their time in thinking & preparing Food. We can transfer this time, effort & energy into some other things which makes sense.
#Opinion – Rather I feel that only those who consistently think about food, doesn’t have any serious work to do or any goals to achieve in life.
Reason No. 2
People also waste lot of money on food and most of the times it’ll leave them unsatisfied.
#Fact – After asking 426 people across age and gender, a staggering 92% of these people told I regret spending on Food for unnecessary items and 43% of them told i ordered food online just because of boredom. ( 2nd is very strange )
Reason No. 3
There is a separate set of people who says, ‘ I am not a Foodie but I love trying different kind of tastes. ‘
#Experience – Above two categories has chance to point under what circumstances they did, they can analyze & realize somewhere and hope they’ll find a way how to avoid that in future but for these people ‘ There is something wrong with there Mindset itself. ‘
Always thinking and discussing what to taste today, what to taste this weekend, bla bla bla….
Even I myself had the same kind of Mindset for more than a year from mid 2013- late 2014.I don’t think I had any goal at that time & probably I’m always bored, seems how stupid I’m right!
If you’re in this Mindset check this. Certainly since 2015 I am totally a different person altogether.
